Randie Rae Powers (1947-2023)

Randie Rae Powers, 76, of North Platte, NE entered the kingdom of Heaven on Saturday, June 24, 2023 after an extensive stay at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln.

She was born on March 10, 1947 in Waynesville, Missouri the daughter of Clyde Leo Powers and Emma Elizabeth (Cordry) Powers.

Randie grew up in Missouri and lived in Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska.  She worked in housekeeping and cooking at local restaurants, as well as the North Platte Daylight Donuts for many years.  She was kind, loving and caring, and had a great sense of humor.  She sometimes surprised people with what she would say.  She loved God and was a devoted Christian and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  The happiest day of her life was when her daughter Angela was born.  She loved to read, do word searches, play Yahtzee and Farkle.  She also enjoyed drawing, watching old movies, and listening to country and gospel music.  Randie loved spending time with her family, especially cooking and baking.  She made the world’s best homemade chicken and noodles, and her pies were elegant and delicious.

Those left to cherish Randie’s memory are daughter, Angela Lindsey of North Platte; grandchildren, Trystina Muir of Grand Blanc, MI, Jordyn Lindsey, Darcey Lindsey and fiancée Chris Taylor, and Faythe Lindsey all of North Platte; great grandchildren, Skylar, Chloe, Zachary, and Gavin; sister, JoAnn Michaels; brothers, James Leo Powers, Larry Powers all of North Platte, and Tom Powers of Clearwater, FL; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Clyde Powers; sisters, Margie Mora, Hollis Miller, and Ruth Soto; brothers, Kenneth and Donnie Powers.

Viewing and visitation with the family will be on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating.  Inurnment will follow in the North Platte Cemetery.

Carpenter Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
