
Chestyne K. “Tootie” Davidson, age 90, of Maxwell. NE passed away at Centennial Park Retirement Village in North Platte, NE on March 21, 2021. She was born on October 25, 1930 in Genoa, NE to Vincent and Hedwig (Zelazny) Torson.
She was united in marriage to Leslie Wayne Davidson on January 15, 1951 in St. Edward, NE and moved to Orleans, NE where they owned the Circle D Bar for 20 years. Then in 1991 they moved to Maxwell, NE where Tootie worked at Shopko and then Maxwell Schools in the lunchroom.
For the last 7 years she was living with her daughter Leslie and her husband Dave where she enjoyed numerous rides through the canyons with Dave.
She is survived by daughters, Carolyn (Mike) Kelly of Raymore, KS, Penny Miller of Maxwell, NE, and Leslie (Dave) Hagert of Maxwell, NE; grandchildren, Mindy (Frankie) McNelis of Kansas City, Sean (Mikki) McNelis of Grand Island, NE, Kris (Tonya) Fischer of Walla Walla, WA, Darci Kelly of Raytown, MO, Chandre Kelly of Raymore, MO, Haley (Luke) McKee of Omak, WA, Tiereny (Curtis) Schneberger of Foss, OK, Jennifer (Josh) Cox of Hershey, NE, Andrea (Francis) Wilson of Hershey, NE, Kasey (Brock) Whitson of Thomas, OK, Dakotah Tahte Davidson of Thomas, OK, Julyssa Miller, Jaelyn Miller and Justice Miller of Maxwell, NE; and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; son, Rusty; two brothers; and four sisters.
A Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. March 26, 2021 at Maxwell Baptist Church in Maxwell, NE. Inurnment will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, NE. There will be a book signing Thursday, March 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte, NE.
In lieu of flowers memorials are to be designated to the Maxwell Public Schools Scholarship Fund. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
