 Margaret M. “Margy” Rotter, age 81, of Trenton, Nebraska, passed away on May 6, 2022, at the Community Hospital of McCook, NE. She was born in McCook, NE on November 8, 1940, to William and Edith (Williams) Rotter. She was a lifetime resident of Trenton, graduating from Trenton High School in 1959.
     Margy worked at the Soo-Paw Café in Trenton from 1959 through 1990. She then worked for the El Dorado Manor and Nursing Care as a housekeeper until 2009. Sometimes she would babysit for her nieces and nephews and younger children of friends.  Margy could be seen frequently walking and talking to people all over town. She enjoyed coffee at Trails West in the afternoons. She collected cans to recycle and would carry water for the plants on main street.
     Margy has spent the last three years as a resident of El Dorado Manor after suffering a stroke in August of 2019. She was much loved and cared for by the staff, some of whom she had worked with in the past. The family would like to express their sincere thanks for the wonderful care she received there.

     She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Edith Rotter.
     Margy is survived by her brothers, Ben Rotter of Desdamona, TX, Fred (Jinx Post) Rotter of Trenton, NE., Roger (Lori) Rotter of San Diego, CA., sisters, Sally (Bill) Loescher of McCook; Mary Rotter of Lincoln, NE; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

     Rosary will be recited for Margy on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 7:00 PM, at St. James Catholic Church in Trenton, NE. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 10:30 AM at St. James Catholic Church in Trenton, with Father Justin Wiley officiating. Visitation will be held at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in Trenton on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Friends may leave online condolences at herrmannfh.com.  In lieu of flowers, Memorials or donations can be made to El Dorado Manor or St. James Catholic Church, both in Trenton, Neb.
