The grassroots efforts have begun to form the MAGA Patriots Party of Nebraska, right here in North Platte.
Nebraska activist and politician Mark Elworth, Jr. made the announcement on Monday that he was launching the MAGA Patriots Party of Nebraska, and that he was launching it from North Platte.

"We have chosen North Platte to be the headquarters of the party because people in the 3rd District have been disenfranchised from state politics and we are going to change that," said Elworth.
Elworth said his first filing for the Party was rejected by the Nebraska Secretary of State's office.
"They made up a bunch of new rules and paperwork to block us from filing but we have jumped through their first set of barriers and will have many more to jump through," Elworth said.
According to Elworth, the goal of the party is to "get real people in office."
"The Nebraska Republicans have failed us," Elworth added. "They no longer work or compete for our votes and they have ulterior motives without your best interests in mind."
Elworth turned in the second filing for the party on Monday.
"Everything starts somewhere and we the people are taking our state and country back and we're gonna start it right here in North Platte."
Elworth said the Party will be coming out with a schedule of events soon and is also looking for volunteers to help run the party.
Elworth has been a vocal advocate of legalizing marijuana in Nebraska and says he is still committed to getting the Legal Marijuana NOW party rolling as well. He says lawyers are currently working on the case after their filing for that Party was also rejected by the Nebraska Secretary of State.
