LinCo Legacy Campaign continues to raise funds for ag, education center

The Lincoln County Agricultural Society has announced a $65,000 goal for the annual North Platte Giving Day on May 3. Funds raised will go toward the LinCo Legacy Campaign, which was established to build the future Linco Ag & Education Center at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in North Platte.

Thanks to a group of generous donors, every donation given on or by May 3 will be matched dollar-for-dollar until $15,000 has been raised. Early giving for the annual North Platte Giving Day event opened April 19.

More about the Linco Ag & Education Center: The two-story Linco Ag & Education Center has been designed to to host large-scale ag, rodeo and private events, educational opportunities, regional attractions and more.

The completed project will feature a dirt floor arena including 1,100 permanent seats, concession area complete with a teaching kitchen, open concourse with capacity to seat 500, open-air lean-to for livestock tie-outs, enclosed livestock washroom, restroom and shower facility, four rentable classrooms, a conference room and administrative offices.
