  Clifford U. Freeze Sr., 93, of Brady passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at his home.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel. Dan Naranjo will officiate.
Burial will follow at Floral Lawns in North Platte with military honors rendered by the U.S. Army and North Platte Honor Guard.

Clifford was born on May 28, 1929 south of North Plate at Jackmore Flats to Oliver K. and Edith (Edis) Freeze.
Clifford was raised near North Platte where he attended school completing the 8th Grade. He was employed by Pacific Fruit Express until enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1951. Clifford served as a cook during the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1953.
He was united in marriage to Alberta Powell. Clifford gained five children and they were blessed with three more children.
Clifford drove truck for over 40 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Teamsters and Union for PFE.
He spent his free time hunting, usually from the kitchen table. Clifford enjoyed watching the local wildlife and supporting the squirrel population, they never went hungry. He also spent a lot of his free time setting mostly harmless fires. Clifford has always kept up to date on the current politics and shared his view.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta of Brady; children, Robert Kelley of North Carolina, Irene (Dennis) Olive of Colorado, Ron (Joyce) Kelley of North Platte, Steve Kelley of Cozad, Marsha Hiatt of North Platte, Donnita (Michael) Williams of Hershey, Patty (Lynn) Ewald of Curtis and Clifford (Thaine) Freeze Jr. of Gothenburg; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; along with a host of extended family and friends.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Oliver K. Freeze Jr.; sister, Bonnie Jean (Freeze) Montgomery; parents-in-law, Levi and Amelia Powell; and son-in-law, Mike Hiatt.
Memorials are designated to the Salvation Army, VFW or NRA.
