
Charlotte Clara (Heinrich) Markwardt, 90 of North Platte, NE passed away on August 26,2021 at her home. She was born to Albert and Orise (L’Heureux) Heinrich on December 29, 1930 at Campbell, NE. She graduated from Campbell High School in 1948.
She was united in marriage to Robert L. Markwardt on September 29, 1949. The couple lived in Campbell where their family started. Later moving to North Platte, NE where she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Ridder and Dr. Young. In her later years, she worked at the Pop Corner.
Charlotte enjoyed dancing, traveling, visiting and playing cards with her friends. She was a 50-year member of the Eagles, and past President of the Eagles Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her husband in 1991; daughter, Rochelle Willits; sons, Robert “Tony” Markwardt and Roger Markwardt.
Charlotte is survived by her three children, Roy Markwardt of North Platte, Renee (Wayne) of Wallace of North Platte, Regina (Ron) Hill of North Platte; grandchildren, Collette (Sheridan) Sauer of North Platte, Mike Willits of Colorado, Jeff Willits of North Platte, Julie (Jason) Gosnell of New Jersey, Matt (Sarah) Wallace of Anchorage, AK, Sam (Tenisa) Wallace of North Platte, Tyler Markwardt of Indiana, Jentry (Seth) Pendleton of Indiana, Jorden (Ashley) Markwardt of Kearney, Adam Hill of North Platte, Ame Barnes of Kansas City, MO, Ryan Markwardt of North Platte, Joshua Markwardt of North Platte, Teshena McKay of North Platte, Trevor Markwardt of Kearney; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Cleonice Hendrick of North Platte, Celestine “Sally” Bunger of Minden, Cheryl Matthews of North Platte, Charles (Genie) Heinrich of Florida; son in law, Tom (Anne) Willits of Colorado.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Holy Spirit Church with The Reverend Vidya Sagar Arikotla officiating. Book signing will be from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery.
