NORTH PLATTE, NE - NPHS Student Council Tailgate Brings Together Local Business, Students, and Community
The North Platte High School Student Council will host its annual tailgate on Friday, September 11, featuring a partnership that brings together local business, students, and our community. The tailgate will take place from 4:00 - 6:00pm in the high school parking lot north of Bauer Field.
This year, Cash-Wa Direct is donating the meat, buns, and barbecue sauce for the event. Pork sandwiches will be prepared by students in Mr. Brett Joneson’s Art of the Grill class. Attendees will be able to enjoy pulled pork sandwiches while supporting NPHS Student Council and its activities.
Proceeds from the tailgate will help fund two $500 NPHS Student Council Leadership Scholarships, which are awarded annually to 2 students each May. Funds raised also help the Student Council put on the annual Snowball Dance and cover experiences associated with the NPHS November Canned Food Drive.
