The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. Residents can watch the meeting live at northplattene.gov/watch.
One item on the regular agenda would formally name the trail at Iron Horse Park “Miltonberger Mile at Iron Horse Park.” City Administrator Layne Groseth will present the item to the council.
Council members will also consider an agreement for the sale of real estate involving Randy and Penny Billingsley. A related ordinance would authorize the conveyance of portions of two lots in Neville's Subdivision from the city to the couple.

The council will also discuss terms for selling city-owned property at the corner of Walker Road and Victoria Lane to Beveridge, Inc.
Francis Street paving work will also be on the agenda. The council is scheduled to take final action on an ordinance amending a previous ordinance related to Paving District No. 842. The project covers approximately 3,100 feet of Francis Street, from the east side of the Bryan Avenue and Francis Street intersection east to Devco Avenue.
The council will also consider accepting the project's certificate of completion and assessment schedule and setting a Board of Equalization meeting for November 3.
Another transportation item would authorize new stop signs at three intersections: Industrial Avenue and Francis Street for southbound traffic, Prospect Drive and Francis Street for southbound traffic, and Francis Street and Newberry Access Road for eastbound traffic.
Under the consent agenda, council members will consider a special designated liquor license for Kwik Stop, Inc. for a fundraiser at St. Patrick's High School on October 24. The application requests permission for the event from 2 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
The consent agenda also includes sending The Vine's application for a Class C liquor license at 518 North Dewey Street to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission with no recommendation, as well as approving the addition of Cody Keno, Inc.'s keno lottery at The Platte Bar, 119 West Sixth Street.
The meeting will begin with an invocation by Pastor John Stone of North Platte Berean Church, followed by routine opening business. The council will also consider claims and hear informational updates from the mayor, council members, city administrator and city attorney.
The meeting is open to the public, with opportunities to address specific agenda items at the mayor's discretion.
