OGALLALA, Neb. — Country music fans will have a chance to experience the music and energy of one of the genre's biggest stars when The Ultimate Garth Brooks Tribute featuring Shawn Gerard comes to Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack on Saturday, Sept. 5.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. on the outdoor stage in the racetrack paddock area.
Shawn Gerard has built a reputation as one of the nation's premier Garth Brooks tribute performers, bringing Brooks' biggest hits and signature stage presence to audiences across the country. When not touring, Gerard has worked with Legends in Concert in Las Vegas as its featured Garth Brooks performer.
Billed as a high-energy production featuring world-class musicians and showmanship, organizers say the performance is designed to deliver the excitement of a live Garth Brooks concert experience for fans of all ages.
"If you're looking for the next best thing to Garth Brooks, you just found it," said Johnny Garcia, lead guitarist for Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks.
"We are happy to present our second outdoor concert this summer," said Thomas Frank, general manager of Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack. "This will be a top-notch performance to close out the great summer in Ogallala."
Guests attending the outdoor concert are welcome to bring lawn chairs. However, large bags, backpacks and coolers will not be permitted. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., and a full-service bar and food truck will be available during the event.
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 19, at 10 a.m. and can be purchased through the Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack events page.
Lake Mac Casino Resort & Racetrack is located off Interstate 80 in Ogallala and features more than 300 slot machines, electronic table games, live entertainment, sports betting and a 5/8-mile quarter horse racetrack.
