(McCook, Neb.) — Weather permitting, a highway shouldering and seeding project will begin April 15 on N-23, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Work will occur from reference post 18.29 to reference post 43.98, east of Grant from the N-61 junction to the Perkins-Lincoln County line.
State maintenance forces will be performing the work, which includes the grading and repair of the sod shoulders with seeding and mulching to follow. Traffic will be maintained with pilot car and flaggers. The work is anticipated to take 20 days.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
