Lincoln County - On Saturday, March 16th, at 4 P.M. dispatch received a report of a vehicle colliding with a train. The accident was reported to have happened at O Fallon’s Crossing which is about a mile east of Sutherland. There was an east bound train stopped on the tacks. The 16-year-old driver of the vehicle did not see the west bound train coming because of the stopped train.

The 2 vehicles in front of him crossed safely so he did not check for a second train. His vehicle sustained extensive damage. He was transported to Great Plains Health, and it was determined that his only injury was a concussion. There is no suspicion of drugs or alcohol being used. It is unknown if he was wearing his seat belt.
