Sondra “Sandy” Rae Perrault, 84, of North Platte, NE passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at North Platte Care Center. 

Sondra was born on October 27, 1939 in Dickens, NE the daughter of Cecil and Edith (Wolverton) Land.  

She attended country school in Dickens and graduated from North Platte High School.  She was married in November of 1964 to Edward E. Perrault and they made their home in Wichita Falls, TX, Wiesbaden and Stuttgart, Germany, Castle Air Force Base, CA and Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton OH.  Following her husband’s retirement from active military service they relocated to North Platte.  Sandy was a devoted military spouse, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed traveling along with her husband and family all over the world.  Other hobbies included crocheting, genealogy, doll collecting, and reading romance novels.  She also enjoyed watching romance movies and Hallmark Christmas movies. Sandy was a very giving and charitable person who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Those left to cherish Sandy’s memory are her son, Ricky Peterson of Palm Harbor, FL; grandson, Cody Peterson of Palm Harbor, FL; brothers, Don (Jeanette) Land of Shawnee, KS, and Gene Land of North Platte; sister, Cheryl (Joe) Fischer of North Platte; sister-in-law, Vivian Land of Culbertson, NE; and several nieces; nephews; cousins; and beloved friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward; sister and brother-in-law, Kay (Corky) Smith; and brother, Dean Land.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte with Father Joe Kadaprayil officiating.  Burial will follow at Ft. McPherson National Veterans Cemetery, near Maxwell.  Friends are invited to visit with the family on Sunday, December 3rd from 2-4 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.    

Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.
