The North Platte City Council will meet Tuesday evening with a full agenda that includes infrastructure projects, zoning changes, and financial approvals.

The meeting will begin with a call to order, invocation by Craig Fabik of Bible Supplies, the Pledge of Allegiance, and roll call. Residents can watch the meeting live on the city’s website at northplattene.gov/watch.

Council members will first consider the consent agenda, which includes approval of the April 7 meeting minutes, multiple liquor license requests, and agreements tied to city operations. Among those items is authorization for the mayor to sign an agreement for development of a new North Platte Fire Department training facility. The council will also consider two resolutions disclosing settlement amounts through LARM totaling $320,000.

Under the regular agenda, council members will consider awarding a bid of $650,833.90 to Midlands Contracting for replacement of 15 manholes along East Philip Avenue. The project is part of ongoing sewer system improvements.

Several planning and zoning items are also scheduled. The council will hold a third reading on an ordinance to vacate a portion of an alley between 621 and 701 East 12th Street. A second reading will be held on a request to rezone property at 2200 East 2nd Street from residential to highway commercial. That same property is also tied to a conditional use permit request for construction of a contractor’s office with storage.

In addition, council members will consider updates to city code related to mobile home park design criteria.

Financial items include a resolution to designate Dayspring Bank as a warrant lender and approval of payments to Paulsen, Inc. and Midlands Contracting totaling more than $250,000, along with general claims.

A closed session may be held if needed to discuss personnel, real estate transactions, or potential litigation.

The meeting will conclude with informational updates from city officials and adjournment.
