Beverly “Bev” A. Foster, 77, of Lexington, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Brookstone Village in Omaha, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on August 23, 1946, in Cambridge, Nebraska to Harlan and Athol (Black) Hansen. She attended public school in Bartley, Nebraska and graduated from Southwest High School with the class of 1964. Bev was united in marriage to James L. Foster on April 3, 1966, in Bartley. The couple celebrated 57 wonderful years together.
Early on, the couple made their home in Lexington, where Bev dedicated 25 years to Veetronix before retiring. Bev’s favorite activity was spending time with her friends and family. In recent years she enjoyed going to the Y.M.C.A. with her husband to socialize. In their younger years, the couple would bowl in their free time.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Athol; beloved husband, James; twin sons, Larry and Lonnie; brother-in-law, John Foster and sisters-in-law, Charlene Foster and Alice (Darrell) Wulf.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Gary (Vicki) Foster and Terry Foster; grandchildren, Kendall and Jamison; brothers, Ron (Kathy) Hansen and Ivan (Julie) Hansen, sister Linda (Howard) Sayer and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington with Reverend Eddie Mariel officiating.
A private family inurnment will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Cambridge, Nebraska.
The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers. Suggested memorials are the Lexington Y.M.C.A. or the Dawson County Relay for Life (American Cancer Society).
