Put North Platte on the map for golf in Nebraska. Both high schools in town now have bragging rights as the top golfers in the state. After North Platte Girls captured a Class A state title in the fall, the Irish boys did the same this spring.
The Irish had a 12 stroke lead after the first day, shooting a 329 as a team. Day two would see the Irish dominated with a 316 round, 30 strokes better than the next team on day two, and cruise to a huge victory.
In the win, the Irish also capture the 2nd and 3rd place individual medals, Connor Hasenauer and Teegan Sonneman respectively. Hasenauer had the best day two of all golfers with a 71 (he shot an 83 day one). Sonneman had two strong rounds as well, 74 and 82.
