North Platte, NE — August 28, 2025 — Grab your sneakers and your leash—the Doggy Dash 5K & 1-Mile Walk/Run is back at Iron Horse Park on Saturday, September 6, 2025, supporting all the programs of Community Connections.
This year’s event features exciting new additions. Tristen Winder (Community Connections Mentoring Advisory Council member) and Victoria Norgaard, both from KNOP-TV, will emcee the race, bringing lively energy and fun banter to the morning. Participants will also enjoy enhanced race-day memories thanks to photographer Anna Langholz of “Just A Mom with a Camera” Photography, who will capture the day’s best moments.
Runners and walkers—whether accompanied by their dogs or not—can enjoy a 5K or 1-mile course, receive a long-sleeve race t-shirt, and be eligible for prizes and medals. The event also offers Platte River Fitness Series points for participants.
