
James “Chuck” Hunt, 68, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away at Great Plains Health surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 after a long health battle.
Chuck was born in North Platte, Nebraska to James and Mary (Easton) Hunt on August 30, 1953. He lived in Port Angeles, Washington and returned home to North Platte. He attended St. Patrick’s High School and North Platte High School. He then enlisted in the United States Navy where he served his country. He was married to several women – some at the same time. Chuck enjoyed fishing, hunting, outdoors, his dogs, his family, and making his special brownies.
He was preceded in death by his father James Hunt, sister Judy, infant daughter Sarah, and numerous dog companions.
He is survived by his mother, Mary; and children, Jim (Cari), Laura Misko, Sean (Jessica), and Taylor. Grandchildren include Vicki, Brian, James III, Alexis, Ethan, Isabella, Emma, Allison, Stewart, Madeline, Cura, Maddie, Tyler, and Julian.
Chuck’s surviving siblings are Mary White, Bill (Friede), Tom, Scott (Barb), Alan (Karen), Geni (Richard) Karre, David (Brandee), and Chad (Stacei); along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the Cody Park picnic shelter with Deacon Michael Davis officiating. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date at Ft. McPherson National Veterans Cemetery. The memorial book will be available to sign from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24th at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
