OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Numbers gathered by Nebraska health officials show another day of more than 100 cases of coronavirus confirmed in the state.
Nebraska's online coronavirus tracker shows 102 cases were confirmed Sunday, bringing the state's total to 22,583 since the outbreak began. The state's total number of deaths remained unchanged at 301.
Nebraska's relatively steady numbers of the virus have run counter to other states across the nation that have seen surges in cases and deaths in recent weeks. Data collected by John Hopkins University shows more than 3.7 million confirmed cases in the U.S. and more than 140,000 deaths in the country from COVID-19.
The Nebraska numbers also show space available for new patients in Nebraska hospitals remained relatively stable. According to the tracker, Nebraska hospitals had 38% of the state's hospital beds available Monday, 42% of the intensive care beds available and 78% of the ventilators still available.
