
Mabel Mae Hasenauer passed away August 13th, 2023, 45 years to the day that her husband Emil passed. Mabel was born April 2nd, 1927 to Charles and Beulah Welch Pace at their home in Wallace, Nebraska.
She attended Lilly Dell and Fisher grade school in Wallace and was the last surviving member of her Wallace graduating class of 1947. She married Emil Hasenauer on August 31st, 1947. To this union they had 8 children. Emil passed away on August 13th, 1978. Mabel then married Walter Hasenauer on May 21st, 1983. Mabel lived in the Wallace and Wellfleet area most of her life. She was dedicated to raising her family and being a farmer’s wife. Her life wasn’t defined by the many jobs she held throughout the years; her life was about family. Serving her community was also a big part of her life. Proudly serving at the Canteen in North Platte, Bethel Bible Camp and her church. Her other love was chickens. Whether it was raising chickens, cooking chickens, or collecting chickens, Mabel had chickens everywhere. Mabel moved to South Oak Manor in 1990 where she resided until her passing. Living 96 years she had the privilege of sharing many memories with her children and grandchildren, including fishing, gardening, tea parties, playing baby dolls, garage sales, baking, sleep overs and storytelling.
Mabel was greeted in Heaven by her parents, her first husband Emil, and second husband Walter; her siblings Eunice Hasenauer, Walter Pace, Cecil Pace, Vina Hasenauer, and an infant brother and sister; children Ralph Hasenauer, Elna Krueger, Edith Hasenauer; grandchild Cory Schultz and great grandchildren Easton Jeffries, Brooks Hasenauer and Laramie Fowler. As well as many other family and friends.
She is survived by: Dick and Glenda Hasenauer and Randa and Toby Tobiasson all of North Platte, NE; son-in-law Garry Krueger of Springfield, Ne; Art and Kris Hasenauer and Howard and Ruthie Hasenauer all of Wellfleet, NE; Moses and Loretta Hasenauer of Cheyenne, WY; brother Raymond Pace of North Platte, NE; and sisters Mary Smith and Bonnie (Paul) Broeder of North Platte, NE; grandchildren Carla (Derek) Beck, Matt (Kelley) Hasenauer and Jenny (John) Bonta of North Platte, NE, Brian (Leanne) Tobiasson and Julie (Brian) Newland of North Platte, NE, Dan (Kelly) Krueger of Idaho, Jeremie (Sarah) Krueger of Springfield and Shelly (Travis) Jefferies of Omaha, NE, Jobi Hasenauer and Andrew Gardner of Omaha, NE, Shawna (Mark) Fowler of Arlington, Chastity (Ryan) Dawson of Pflugerville TX, Eric Hasenauer of North Platte, NE, and Alex (Mareesa) Hasenauer of Wellfleet, NE, Hope (Tim) Morgan, Brittany (Justin) Morgan, Cortney (Slade) Raine, Trustin Hasenauer, and Joanna Hasenauer all of Cheyenne, WY; great-grandchildren Bradee and Chase, Nathan and Arika, Rory, Connor, Abby and Josh, Hallee and Steven, Devin, Jaylee, Owen, Lilli, Lizzi, Trace, Tyler and Taylor, Trevor, Tanner, Mason and fiancée Hailey, Zane, Addie, Stella, Evie, Dax, Mariah and Clancy, Jayden, Collin, Gaven, Anisten, Kenan, Austin, Kitsyn, Aubree, Carlee, Aria, Olivia, Kylie, Landon, Madi, Wyatt, Greyson, Raelyn; and great-great grandchildren Dane, Reed, Stetson, Elliott and Wray. She is also survived by many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Evangelical Free Church in North Platte, NE with Pastor Geoff Safford and Glen Littrell officiating. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Wellfleet Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 17th from 1 to 7 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel in North Platte, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
