Jean Marie Kendall passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024. Jean was a loving wife and mother and loyal friend who lived her life courageously despite poor health.
Jean was born on November 12, 1949 to her parents, Frank and Pauline Weber, in Corwith, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm with her four siblings. Jean graduated from Corwith-Wesley High School in 1968. In 1970, she graduated from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa after studying fashion merchandising.
On April 29, 1972, she married the love of her life, Roland Richard Kendall. They were deeply devoted to each other in marriage for 52 years and raised two children, Nicolle Schieffer (Jason) of Kenosha, Wisconsin and Michael Kendall (Michelle) of Scituate, Massachusetts. Jean enjoyed her five grandchildren, Matthew Schieffer, maeve Kendall, Emma Schieffer, Fiona Kendall, and Kellen Kendall.
Jean enjoyed spending time with her husband, playing cards, traveling, and was a wonderful cook. She was an avid reader and valued education for her children and grandchildren.
She is also survived by her four siblings, Cynthia McBride (Roger) of Mason City, Iowa, Connie Noah of Ft. Myers, Florida, David Weber (Judy) of Corwith, Iowa, and Linda McLaughlin (Terri) of Des Moines, Iowa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic church, 612 East 4th Street in McCook, Nebraska. Inurnment will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Carroll Cemetery, 618 S. Grant Road in Carroll, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School McCook Tuition Assistance Program.
