Steven Orville Chandler, age 67, of Keystone, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at his home in Keystone.
Steven was born on October 28, 1953 to Donald & Betty (Travis) Chandler in Ogallala, Nebraska.
He attended Ogallala and Paxton High School. After graduating, he received a Rodeo Scholarship and attended Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska and Casper College in Wyoming. He continued to enjoy ranch rodeo events after college.
Steven met and married Susan Heming in 1981. The two of them ranched until retirement in 2016. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
Steven is survived by his wife, Susan Heming-Chandler of Keystone, Nebraska; his father, Donald (Karen) Chandler of North Platte, Nebraska; his children, Jessica (Abraham) Zabih of Little Rock, Arkansas, William (Andrea Schubert) Chandler of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Rebecca Chandler of Lincoln, Nebraska; and his grandchildren, Aryana and Zena Zabih.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Chandler.
The family chose cremation. No services are scheduled at this time.
