     On the early morning hours of July 31, 2023, Jaimeson Y. Meza of Council Bluffs, Iowa passed away at Omaha Methodist Hospital at the age of 44.
     Jaimeson was born to Ygnacio and Davine Meza in Grand Island, Nebraska on June 11, 1979.
     Jaimeson attended grade school in Grand Island, Nebraska until fifth grade, then attended school in North Platte, Nebraska where he graduated in 1997. He participated in football, theater, and academic decathlon. Then he continued his education at Peru State Collage, then University of Nebraska at Kearney, obtaining associate degree at North Platte Community College.
     Jaimeson was employed and enjoyed working at Cabela’s for a period until he moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to attend the School for the Visually Impaired, to learn how to live independently as a visually impaired person at which he was remarkably successful.
     He had many Joys in his life, sports music poker and his guide dogs all of which gave him many unique experiences. His favorite sport teams which he loved were Nebraska Football and Baseball, Atlanta Braves, LA Lakers, Tennessee Titans and NASCAR. He was a wealth of knowledge to all who knew him and never failed to let you know his opinion on such matters. Jaimeson was also very patriotic and always wanted to support our armed forces.
     But most of all he enjoyed his family and friends and would never want to miss a family gathering.
     Jaimeson was preceded in death by sister Brianne Meza, grandparents Raul and Eloise Meza and Robert Thomsen, and his uncle Oscar Thomsen.
     Jaimeson is survived by his parents Ygnacio and Davine Meza, sister Ashley Meza, and grandmother Veda Thomsen, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
     Memorials will be donated to Guide Dogs of America, Sylmar, Ca. in honor of Jaimeson and guide dogs Fhil and Garfield.
