The Wolverines' next stop is the College World Series finals starting Monday. Jimmy Kerr homered twice and had four hits, Jesse Franklin had three hits and four RBIs and the Wolverines scored double-digit runs for the 20th time this season.
ļ»æOMAHA, Neb. (AP) ā Michigan's Erik Bakich says Vanderbilt's Tim Corbin has been the biggest influence on him as he's gone through his coaching career. Bakich was a Vandy assistant for seven years until 2009. Corbin says he's proud of what Bakich has accomplished. Now he wants to beat his protege when Michigan and Vanderbilt meet in the best-of-three College World Series finals.
