Wallace “Wally” W. Welch, 76, of North Platte passed away September 19, 2021, at Great Plains Health in North Platte.  Wally was born November 17, 1944, to Francis “Tude” and Carol (Englebrect) Welch, in North Platte, Nebraska. 
Wally grew up in Keystone, Nebraska. He graduated from Ogallala High School in 1962.  He joined the Navy and served his country from 1963 to 1966.  Wally was married to Ardie McCloud in 1968.  To this union 3 children were born, Michael, Steve and Christina.  They divorced in 1993.  In 1994, Wally meet his lifelong companion, Carrie Clang.  He was a member of the Nebraska Antique Tractor Association, he enjoyed going to the lake, fishing, boating and camping. 
Wally is survived by Carrie Clang, North Platte; his children, Michael Welch, Chesapeake, Virginia, Steve (Delores) Welch, Paradise, Texas, and Christina Welch, North Platte, Nebraska; grandchildren, Krystina Davis, Paradise, Texas, Matthew (Ingrid Peterson) Welch, North Platte, Nebraska, Gina Wright and family,  April (John) Perkins and family, Spartanburg, S. Carolina, Gary (Tracy Mullen) Clang, Jr., and family, North Platte, Nebraska, Josh (Jessica Kimberlin) Hupfer and family, North Platte, Nebraska; sister, Fran (Kevin) Anstine, Hordville, Nebraska; and many other family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis “Tude” and Carol Welch and uncle, Wally Welch.
Memorials are suggested the to North Platte Honor Guard.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 23, 2021, 1:30 P.M., at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Rinke officiating.  Burial will be at 3:00 P.M., at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska, with military honors.  Book signing will be Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 9:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M., at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home, who is in charge of arrangements. 

The service will be lived streamed on Adams and Swanson Funeral Home Facebook page for those who cannot attend his service.
