Posted Jul 08, 2019 5:25 AM

Allene R. Morse, 90, of North Platte, Nebraska was welcomed into Heaven July 3, 2019.

She was born in North Platte on February 20, 1929 to Roy and Irene Fisher. She married Ray Morse on March 4, 1950.

She loved North Platte so much that she had no desire to live anywhere else. She was proud of the fact that she worked at the North Platte Canteen during WWII and spoke of it often. She loved talking about the Depot, the Golden Spike, and “the largest railyards in the world”. She visited Cody Park often and enjoyed the animals and the ice cream!

Allene was preceded in death by her parents, her seven siblings, and her husband, Ray, all of whom were at the gates of Heaven waiting for her.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Doug) Reifschneider of Marietta, GA; grandson Jason (Angie) Hill of Belton, MO; granddaughter Dana (Walt) Morgan of Boulder, CO; great grandchildren Adam Brubaker and Braeden Hill of Belton, MO; Lydia and Gus Morgan of Boulder, CO. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, several of whom reside in North Platte.

Online condolences may be shared at www.carpentermemorial.com. Memorials may be made out to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2019 at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens in North Platte with the Rev. Dr. Douglas A. Delp officiating.

The family will have a celebration of her life in September, congregating at one of her favorite places, Cody Park. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in care of arrangements.
