Kathleen Marie “Kathy” Slack, 83, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away August 6, 2022 at Centennial Park in North Platte. She was born October 28, 1938 to Stuart W and Francis (Greenwood) Piper in Wellfleet, Nebraska.
Kathy graduated from St. Patrick’s Catholic School with the class of 1956. She was united in marriage to Wesley Slack in Wellfleet. The couple moved to California where she worked in the medical field. They also lived in Arizona and Florida before returning to North Platte in 2012 to be close to family. Kathy enjoyed quilting and made beautiful quilts. She also enjoyed making lap robes for various Veteran’s organizations.
Survivors include her siblings, Joanne Bollish and Don Piper both of North Platte; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Kathy is preceded in death by her husband Wesley; daughters, Suzanne and Teresa; siblings, Ilene Simon, Infant Ellen, Wayne Piper and Tommy Piper.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Reverend Vidya Sagar as celebrant. Rosary will be recited at 12:30 P.M., prior to Mass. Book signing will be 9 – 5, Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
