Police say a North Platte woman has died following a crash in the city on Monday.

According to police, North Platte Fire and Rescue and officers responded to the report of an injury accident at the intersection of B and Oak Streets at around 9:12 a.m.

Police say the accident investigation shows that a four-door sedan, driven by 65-year-old Darla Cohagan, was traveling eastbound on B Street, approaching the intersection with Oak Street.

Officer Beth Kerr says a box truck was stopped at a stop sign facing northbound at the intersection when the driver, who was not identified, entered the intersection. Cohagan had the right-of-way, according to the police.

Officer Kerr says the front of Cohagan's vehicle struck the driver's side door of the truck.

Police say Cohagan was transported by ambulance to Great Plains Health where she died as a result of her injuries. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Police say the investigation is completed and no charges are expected.
