One person was sent to the hospital after a rollover accident on Oct. 12 in Box Butte County.

The accident occurred between Highway 87 and County Road 58 on Logan Road at approximately 4:08 p.m.

A 2006 Nissan Sentra driven by Austin Standage, 21, was driving eastbound on Logan Road, lost control of the vehicle and rolled into the south ditch. There was one 14 year-old occupant in the vehicle.

Box Butte County Sheriff Deputy Preston Walls said the vehicle rolled one time onto its hood.

Standage was transported to Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance for injuries. The juvenile was released to his parents at the scene of the accident.

"Standage advised the vehicle had previous front end damage and gave that for a reason for losing control of the vehicle," said Deputy Walls.

No alcohol or drugs were suspected in the accident.
