Lexington police had an intense few hours on Thursday night.

At around 8:41 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of West Maple Street after receiving a report that a male had sustained a gunshot wound and had been transported to Lexington Regional Hospital.

At around 8:57 p.m., officers were dispatched to Plum Creek Parkway on the report that two individuals had been stabbed. Officers arrived and found that two males with stab wounds had also been transported to the hospital.

Following further investigation, police say it was determined that both incidents were related to the shooting and that the stabbings had also occurred at the West Maple Street location.

In the end, 31-year-old Derrick Davis was arrested, after receiving medical attention, on suspicion of use of a weapon to commit a felony, robbery and attempted murder. 26-year-old Ahmed Mohamed, who is still under medical care, has charges pending against him and 22-year-old Marco Ochoa was cited for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

The gunshot victim, Rodney Ochoa, is still receiving medical care at LRH.

The condition of Mohamed and Ochoa is unknown at this time.

The Lexington Police Department was assisted by the Dawson County Sheriff's Office, the Nebraska State Patrol, Lexington Volunteer Fire Department and Priority Medical.

The Lexington Police Department will handle the follow-up investigation.
