Knights basketball drops two on Wednesday night

The North Platte Community College Knights Women’s Basketball Team played Colby Community College in Colby, Kan. and ended the game with a final score of NPCC 50-68 Colby CC.

 

NPCC’s Jalyn Reagans grabbed six rebounds, Emily Joseph scored 11 points, while Ashley Hassett grabbed five rebounds and put up 21 points.

 

“Our effort and energy were there tonight but we just could not put it in the hoop. Giving credit to Colby, we had some good looks that just did not fall tonight, but we will get back into the gym tomorrow and get back to work,” said NPCC head coach Jeff Thurman.

 

The Knights, currently 2-4 on overall season record, next play in the Hesston College Classic in Hesston, Kan. NPCC’s first game of the tournament is against host Hesston College at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15. On Saturday, the Knights will play against Bethel College JV at 12 p.m.


The North Platte Community College Knights Men’s Basketball Team hosted Garden City Community College, ultimately posting a final score of Garden City 86-79 NPCC. The Knights are now 2-2 on overall season record.

 

NPCC’s Courtney Murrell scored 21 points, Damon Harge posted 16 points all within the second half, while Tim Johnson posted 12 points.

 

The Knights next travel to play Cloud County Community College on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 4 p.m. in Concordia, Kan.
