BEATRICE, Neb. (AP) - A city attorney in southeast Nebraska's Gage County has been suspended.

The city administrator in Beatrice, Tobias Tempelmeyer, said Abigail Stark is still being paid by the city. He wouldn't say what led to the action Monday or how long the suspension might last. He said it was a personnel matter.

Stark was hired for the post in April 2018. She didn't immediately return a message Friday from The Associated Press.
