A 9-year-old girl who was hit by a school bus in Maryland has died. Police in Montgomery County say the child had gotten off the bus with a group of students Thursday afternoon when she was struck by the vehicle.
News outlets report the bus was making a right turn when it hit the girl. She was taken to a hospital where she died Thursday night. The other students and the bus driver weren't injured.
The girl's name hasn't been released. School officials say she was a fourth grader at Bradley Hills Elementary School in Bethesda.
