On January 6th, 2020 Assistant Head Coach Chase Grabau resigned his position from the North Platte Community College Knights.

Coach Grabau was a player with the Knights from 2009-10 before joining the coaching staff in 2016. As a player, he was part of a team that went to the NJCAA National Tournament. As a member of the coaching staff, he helped push the team to a Region IX semi-final appearance last season.

The College put out a small release on his resignation.

“This was a decision made by Coach Grabau,” said Dr. Jody Tomanek, area vice president of academic affairs and North Platte Community College. “We respect his decision and have accepted his resignation.”

The Knights Men currently sit at 3-7 on the season

XFL to unveil rules innovations when it kicks off next month

The officiating calls might be easier because the XFL will use the college rule of receivers needing only one foot in bounds rather than the NFL's two-feet rule. The eight-team league begins play on Feb. 8. That's the weekend after the Super Bowl.
