North Platte, Neb. - The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will gather Monday, November 10, at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Room at the Lincoln County Courthouse. Following the commissioners’ meeting, the Board of Equalization will convene at 9:15 a.m. to handle tax-related matters. The public can watch the meeting live on the Lincoln County YouTube channel.

The meeting will begin with a prayer, followed by approval of minutes from the previous session on November 3. Commissioners are set to review claims and the treasurer’s receipts, and receive fee reports from the Clerk of District Court, County Clerk, County Sheriff, and Register of Deeds.

During the Board of Equalization session, members will review their own November 3 meeting minutes, consider certificates of correction and refunds submitted by the County Assessor, and examine motor vehicle tax exemption applications submitted by the County Treasurer.

Once the Board of Equalization concludes, the commissioners will return to their agenda. Among the key items scheduled for discussion is a recommendation to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission for a manager change at Fast Stop 1155 Inc. in Sutherland. Commissioners will also consider authorizing the chair to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nebraska Department of Veteran’s Affairs, approve the purchase of a tandem snowplow truck for the County Department of Roads, and review interlocal agreements with the City of North Platte covering network services and road maintenance. Later in the morning, the board will also consider a resolution addressing rules and regulations for Lincoln County Board meetings.

The board reserves the right to enter closed sessions if necessary to discuss pending litigation, real estate matters, security issues, or personnel evaluations. The meeting will also provide an opportunity for elected officials, department heads, or their representatives to bring forward concerns, followed by committee reports from the commissioners.
