     Ilene G. Rockwell, age 90, died February 4, 2020 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, Nebraska.  She was born on a farm east of Stockville, Nebraska on May 18, 1929 to Fred "Ed" and Dora (Johnson) Weiss.
     Ilene graduated from Stockville High School in 1946.  She worked in the Frontier County Courthouse in the County Treasurers Office until January 1955 when she moved to North Platte, Nebraska.  Ilene then started working in the Lincoln County Treasurers Office for many years.  She was elected and served 9 years as the Lincoln County Treasurer.
     On October 8, 1972, she married Buford Claire Rockwell in Curtis, Nebraska.  In September of 1975, they adopted a son, Kim Lee.
     Survivors include her husband, Buford Rockwell and her son, Kim (Lorena) Rockwell, both of North Platte; grandchildren, Brandon, Tanner, Shelby, Kyler, Kaiden, and Aliyah; a great-grandchild, Kyle; a sister, Lavinna Banzhaf of Eustis, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Sharon Banzhaf and Velma Ressequie; nephews Randy Banzhaf, Darin Foran, Dennis Ressiquie, Danny Ressiquie, and Joe Banzhaf; brothers-in law Don Banzhaf, Don Resseguie, Joseph Jackson, and Joe Banzhaf.
     Memorials are suggested to Bridge of Hope.  Online condolences may be left at www.carpentermemorial.com.
     Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, 1616 West B Street in North Platte,  with Pastor Bill Williams presiding.  Burial will follow in the Arnold City Cemetery in Arnold, Nebraska.  Visitation will be on Friday, February 7, 2020 from 12;00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in charge of arrangements.

     Marie A. Gentleman Beebe, age 96, of Elkhorn, Nebraska, formerly of North Platte, Nebraska, died on February 4, 2020 in Omaha, Nebraska.
     Marie was born on August 28, 1923 to John and Elizabeth (Schueth) Gentleman in Chapman, Nebraska and grew up in Silver Creek.  She graduated from Silver Creek High School in 1941, then attended Boyle's Business College in Omaha.
     Marie was a veteran of World War II.  She joined the U.S. Navy in 1944 and served in a Naval Intelligence Unit in Washington D.C.  Following her honorable discharge in 1946, she returned to Silver Creek, Nebraska.
     On April 9, 1948, Marie married Ward E. Beebe in Denver, Colorado.  they lived in Omaha until 1966 when Ward was transferred to North Platte with the UP Railroad.  Marie had worked at the Woodman of the World in Omaha, then for the North Platte Telegraph for a short time, but her favorite job was being a wife and mother.
     She was a member of the Does, life member of North Platte Old Timers, and was in an RV Group.  After Ward retired, they enjoyed their time in North Platte and traveled to Arizona for the winters.  A few years ago, Marie moved to Elkhorn to be closer to her family.
     She enjoyed spending time with her sons and daughters-in-law and was a fan of Nebraska football and women's volleyball and basketball, as well as UNO hockey.  She would follow her teams on television and radio and had the chance to attend some hockey games with her sons.
     Marie is survived by her sons, Lynn Beebe and Brian (Susan) Beebe all of Omaha; sisters-in-law, Naomi Kirkland and Wilma Beebe; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
     She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward; parents, John and Elizabeth Gentleman; three brothers, Charles (Margaret), James (Kate Knopick), and Edward (Rachel) Gentleman; and a daughter-in-law, Lynne Ellen Beebe.
     Visitation with family will be from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at Heafey's West Center Chapel in Omaha, Nebraska and on Monday, February 10, 2020 in North Platte, Nebraska from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.
     Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore in North Platte.  Burial with military honors will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, Nebraska.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Goodfellows Shoe Fund or Habitat for Humanity, both in North Platte.  Online condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.
