North Platte officials extend deadline for City Administrator applications

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-Mayor Dwight Livingston announced today that the City of North Platte has elected to extend the application deadline for potential candidates to fill the position of retiring City Administrator Jim Hawks to 5:00 p.m. Central Time on March 2, 2020.

In order to promote a uniform review of the applicants, Mayor Dwight Livingston also mentioned that all candidates who have presently applied have now been asked to complete the City’s Employment Application form which may be obtained from the Mayor’s office or found online on the City’s website.

The Mayor further clarified that his ad hoc Committee to review all applications and then recommend three final candidates to the City Council Committee will consist of the Mayor, City Council President Jim Nisley, Current City Administrator Jim Hawks and the City’s Chief Legal Counsel, Terry Waite.
