High school sophomores, juniors encouraged to apply for Rotary RYLA Camp

NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-The North Platte Rotary Clubs would like to invite all sophomores and juniors to apply to attend this year’s Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Camp.

Great Plains RYLA will be in Halsey, NE on July 15-19, 2020. Every year, the North Platte Noon Rotary Club and North Platte Sunrise Rotary Club partner to send 6 students from North Platte High School, North Platte St. Pat's, Hershey High School, Sutherland High School or who are home-schooled in our area to attend Rotary's RYLA Youth Leadership Camp. All expenses for the camp are covered by the clubs. The camp is a five-day experience full of outdoor activities such as canoeing or tubing, a fun ropes course, and many other outdoor activities that emphasize teamwork and decision making. In addition, RYLA focuses on service and Rotary’s role in building stronger communities by emphasizing both local and global citizenship. Applications will be accepted through March 24, 2020 11:59 PM. When you submit an application, it will be reviewed by your local club, then you will have an interview and if accepted receive a scholarship to attend the RYLA 2020.
