NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-A house fire Saturday morning on the north side of North Platte was quickly extinguished by the North Platte Fire Department.
The report of a structure fire at 1808 North Madison came in at around 9:15 this morning.
Firefighters on the scene say no one was injured and it appeared that no one was home at the time of the fire.
Scanner traffic indicates that one cat succumbed to the fire. No firefighters were injured in the process.
Fire Marshal George Lewis is investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
