Linden Court, a skilled nursing facility in North Platte, has announced that they will not allow visitors due to confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nebraska.
Linden Court posted the following message on their Facebook page:
" Because of the recent positive test for the COVID-19 / Corona-virus in Nebraska and the uncertainty of how widespread it may be in Nebraska we are not allowing visitors at our facility until further notice. We sincerely apologize for the hardship this may cause but, as you know, ensuring your loved ones are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our greatest concern.
We understand that connecting with family members is incredibly important, and there are a variety of other ways you might consider connecting with them other than in-person. These may include telephone, email, text, or through Skype or social media channels.
We will continually evaluate the need to have this restriction in place and will make every effort to contact families when we can again allow visitors in the building.
You are encouraged to share this information with family members and friends who may be affected. Please feel free to contact Nolan Gurnsey, administrator, at 308-660-9203 if you have any questions."
The North Platte Care Center has also made the same decision, posting this message on their Facebook page:
"With the ongoing concerns about influenza and the Corona Virus, North Platte Care Center is following the recommendations set out by CMS to close our doors to visitors. We DO NOT have any cases of Covid-19 and want to protect our residents from this virus accidentally being brought in. We are more than happy to help you communicate with your loved one either through emails, phone calls or social media. Thank you for your understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience. We will update you on any new information we receive."
