Facebook Post-McCook Public Schools
Starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020, McCook Public Schools will begin serving free meals to all students of McCook Public Schools. This is in response to school closings due to the coronavirus pandemic. A waiver has been granted by the United States Department of Agriculture providing additional flexibilities based on the exceptional circumstances relating to the declaration of a public health emergency due to COVID-19. Free meals will be available during the school days when school is closed due to this health emergency.
To receive free meals during the emergency, we ask that you contact the school where your student attends by 9:00 AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, and request your meals. This request will reserve meals for your student for the remainder of the week and allow the district to prepare the proper number of meals. Each student will receive a breakfast and a lunch meal each day. Adult meals may be purchased as usual.
Meals may be picked up at the Junior High School between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM each day of the school closure. This will be a drive-through grab-n-go meal in a bag. Staff members will be on hand to assist and direct traffic.
