NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-Interstate 80 plays a vital role in our nation's economy, and as you journey to the east or to the west, there comes a time when the sign that says "Rest Area" is one of the most beautiful sights to see.<br>The Nebraska Department of Transportation plans to keep the Rest Areas along the Interstate open, provided they have enough paper products and supplies to keep them operating safely.<br>NDOT posted the following statement on their Facebook page:
