TRYON, Neb. (AP) - Authorities in central Nebraska have identified a woman killed in a west-central Nebraska crash.

McPherson County Sheriff Thomas Burch said Tuesday that Sheila Viter, 37, of Tryon, died after her vehicle collided with an empty fuel tanker truck on a foggy state highway.

The crash occurred around 9:45 a.m. Monday on Nebraska Highway 97 in McPherson County, about 1.5 miles north of the Lincoln County line.

Viter was headed north when her vehicle crossed the center line and struck the oncoming truck, investigators said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
