
News Release (Chase County Sheriff)
On March 31st, 2020, the Chase County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by Keith County authorities and made aware of an outstanding Keith County arrest warrant for a local man identified as Mark A. Luevano. The arrest warrant indicated Luevano was wanted on 5 felony charges in Keith County:
Possess (meth) amphetamine 10-27 grams, Distribution of an exceptionally hazardous drug, possess firearm while committing a felony, possession of a controlled substance, and theft by receiving stolen property.
A search warrant was obtained by the Chase County Sheriff’s Office for Luevano’s residence, located at 326 W. 9th Street in Imperial. The Sheriff’s Office executed that warrant on the afternoon of March 31st with the assistance of 2 Imperial Police Department Officers. Luevano was not located in the residence at that time, but during a subsequent search of the home Law Enforcement discovered and seized narcotics and other paraphernalia.
During the afternoon of and into the evening of March 31st, The Chase County Sheriff’s Office continued to search for Luevano. After more investigation, the Chase County Sheriff’s Office collaborated with the Dundy County Sheriff’s Office to locate Luevano at a farm in rural Dundy County. Luevano was arrested by Deputies from both agencies without incident and transported to the Keith County Jail by the Chase County Sheriff’s Office.
