CHADRON – Chadron State College President Randy Rhine announced Wednesday that Spring Commencement will be postponed to a summer date to be determined in accordance with restrictions on group events in Gov. Pete Ricketts’s Directed Health Measure.

In 2008, a major snowstorm forced CSC to revise end-of-the-year festivities. Ivy Day was moved from Friday night to noon Saturday. The graduation ceremony for students receiving master’s degrees and the ceremony for undergraduates were each delayed by several hours.

According to longtime CSC historian Con Marshall, no CSC graduation exercises have been canceled in recent history.
