NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-There are now five men vying to be the next mayor of North Platte after one candidate announced he is dropping out of the race.
Candidate Dave Vigil contacted the Post and stated that he was withdrawing due to "health concerns for his wife."
With Vigil's announcement, voters will cast their vote for one of five candidates; Lonnie Parsons, Andrew Lee, Brandon Kelliher, John Hales or Larry Britton.
The primary election is scheduled for May 12.
