NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-Officials with Great Plains Health in North Platte say they have accepted and will care for COVID-19 patients from the Loup Basin Public Health Department district.
“We have accepted 9 patients from the Loup Basin Public Health district that have tested positive for COVID-19, said Mel McNea, Great Plains Health chief executive officer. “Those that have arrived so far are being cared for by our highly skilled and compassionate staff.”
“We are taking every precaution and have isolated the patients in our COVID19 unit, which is separate from our other patient rooms, said McNea. “Our staff is following all CDC guidelines to minimize exposure and stay safe.”
The latest update from LBPH stated that they had 13 positive cases in their district.
