LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -Nebraska had 790 reported coronavirus cases as of Sunday, up 90 from the number reported Saturday, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.
No new deaths were reported. So far, 17 people have died from the virus in Nebraska.
The uptick in cases came as some churchgoers attended drive-in Easter services from their cars to ensure social distancing.
St. John Lutheran Church held services at the Gage County Fairgrounds, where attendees listened from their car radios, the Lincoln Journal Star reported.
For most people, the coronavirus causes mild or moderate symptoms, such as fever and cough that clear up in two to three weeks. For some, especially older adults and people with existing health problems, it can cause more severe illness, including pneumonia.
