SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — More than 104 new cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in South Dakota, bringing the state's total number of confirmed cases to 730.

An update Sunday from the state Department of Health says 89 of the new cases are in Minnehaha County, where more than half of that county's 527 cases have been in employees at the Smithfield Foods pork processing plant in Sioux Falls.

The company announced Sunday that it would close the plant until further notice. No new COVID-19-related deaths were reported Sunday; a total of six people in the state have died from the virus.
