NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-Health officials say another resident has tested positive for COVID-19 in Lincoln County.
At a news conference on Friday, officials with the West Central District Health Department (WCDHD) reported that a Lincoln County woman in her 60s has tested positive for the virus.
Officials say the woman is currently at home recovering and has not required hospitalization at this time.
There are now 18 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the six-county area served by WCDHD.
Officials also reported that all of the 101 individuals tested in North Platte by the Nebraska National Guard on Tuesday were negative. All individuals were notified of their results.
The National Guard also went into a home group home setting and conducted tests on seven individuals. Those tests were all negative as well.
Officials urge residents to continue to follow the Governor's Six Rules to Keep Nebraska Healthy.
According to WCDHD, 400 people have been tested in their six-county area, with two people from Thomas and Hooker Counties being tested and one in both McPherson and Logan Counties. The rest of the individuals tested reside in Lincoln County.
